• Question: Being involved with dark matter and the state of our universe, what is your personal prescription to the grater meaning, origin and/or working of our universe. E.g. simulation, creationism, meaningless, heat death, infinite cycle of collapse and big bang.

This will probably be an unsatisfactory question but I don’t really have one? I was brought up Catholic but no longer consider myself religious, I’m more agnostic. I’m open to there being some greater being(s) but also there being none. I’m also not that interested in astrophysics so the theory of the universe at that level isn’t really something I think about. I don’t feel I know enough to have any strong belief in any theory for our universe. Maybe it’s even something we haven’t thought of yet or some combination of what we have?

I think everyone is entitled to their belief but I do believe in science so if it contradicts something we know as fact, I’m probably unlikely to follow that (ie the bible contradicts a lot but the basic theory of God etc doesn’t). I’m always open to being proven wrong though.
