      I earn just over £30,000 a year which is a pretty good wage. Engineering is a well paid career. compared to other friends of mine in other sectors I also work fewer hours (38 hours a week)

      Engineers are paid quite well. There are careers where more money is offered, but often you’d have to work much longer hours. I can’t complain with what I earn, especially considering the work-life balance and the fact I enjoy my work because it’s interesting!
