  It’s only really since I started working how useful mentors can be. When I was younger I was paired up with various different mentors through different programmes, but never made full use of them. They can provide you with great advice and teach you things you’d usually completely miss out on. If you get any opportunities to have a mentor, I’d say try make the most of it! It’s very easy to think there’s not much benefit at the time, but longer term you notice it more.
