The cameras I design can cost £100,000’s in materials, but there are lots of other things to add in too. For example, there are the labour costs with the design and test work, as well as hiring out specialist equipment (such as the thermal vacuum chamber pictured in my profile). So they’re pretty expensive pieces of kit!
